1.  I'm new here, do I need to fill out a consultation form just for a haircut?

-No, you can skip the form and book a cut on out booking page!

2.  I just need my highlights touched up, what do I book?

-You still need to book for your typical highlighting service. It takes the same amount of time/work to touch up highlights as it takes for an initial highlight appointment. Root Color Retouch is NOT a highlighting service.

3.  What is the difference between Traditional Highlights and Specialty Blonding?

-Traditional Highlights are traditional foils, or traditional balayage. The Specialty Blonding umbrella includes baby-lights (super fine highlights), strand-lights (purpose of grey blending), teasy-lights or foilayage (the brightness of foils with the effects of balayage), a combination of a Root Color Retouch and Traditional Highlights. Specialty Blonding is much more specialized and takes much more time.

NOTE: All of our highlighting/blonding services include bond builder (protects the hair) and a gloss (adds shine and achieves the desired tone).

4.  Is it true dirty hair is better for ________?

- NO! Dirty hair is not better for any service. It actually inhibits color from working properly. It causes the hair strands to stick together making balayage impossible and specialty highlighting very difficult. It clumps together making Updos/Formal Styling extremely difficult and unpleasant. We can always add texture to your updo.

5. I get color, but my hair is really grown out. Can I book a Retouch?

- If your roots are longer than 1/2 an inch, you need to book a longer service, such as roots-ends color, or even a color correction.

6.  What are some reference points for the different hair lengths for cuts?

-Clipper: this is like a barber style cut, where we use clippers on the sides and scissors on top.

-Pixie:  hair that is to the bottom of the ear and shorter, but with minimal-no clipper usage. T

-Medium: from the chin to three inches below the collar bone.

-Long: more than 3 inches below the collar bone to 3 inches below armpit crease.

-Extra Long: anything longer. If your hair reaches below the belly button, please add from the Extra Time options.

NOTE: All cuts include a blowout or diffusing. If your hair is thick, please add from the Extra Time options unless you wish to leave wet.

​7.  When do I book a smaller highlighting service vs a bigger one?

Micro and Mini services are intended to be booked in between larger services to help stretch your hair budget! For example, if it has been 6 months or more since your last Half Head or Full highlight, then it is time for another. if its been 2-4 months, that is when a Micro or Mini would be appropriate.

8. What is the cancellation policy?

-We require 72 hours notice via text for all appointments exceeding 1 hour and 15 minutes. For all appointments 1hr and 15m or less, we require 48 hours notice via text.

-The first time this is not observed, you receive a warning, the second time results in a charge of 50% of your service total, the third results in a 100% charge, and after that you will be limited to last minute appointments only booking will be available by text only.

-No Shows will result in a 100% charge immediately. 3 No Shows and you will be required to make last minute appointments via text only.
